With Mothers Day so close lets think about her.There are hundreds of ways to express our feelings. To often we keep our feelings to ourselves.
Assume the ones we care about know how much they mean to us.
Very often they do not.

Looking for a part of the old west? A good place to start is in Kanab, Utah.
It is even FREE
Frontier Movie Town
Actors like JOHN WAYNE, CLINT EASTWOOD,RAQUEL WELCH,CHARLTON HESTON,GREGORY PECK, JAMES STEWART and GLEN FORD.
Knab earned it's nickname" Little Hollywood". Movies like Stagecoach, and Outlaw Josey Wales. The don't make western movies like that anymore.
You will find the preserved movie sets at Movie Town 297 Center Street Kanab,Utah
Rent an authentic western costume for old-time photographs or a filmed video.
Eat lunch or dinner in the spacious dinning room where walls are decorated with western phots and gear. Outside old wagons serve as seats for gun battles and the evening program.
This is a fun place for the complete family.

medical Alert
State health officals are bracing for what could be a harsh summer of the West Nile Virus.
There are precautions the public can take aganist the disease-carrying mosquitoes.
I read an interesting prevention it was:use Bounce dryer sheets.(fabric softner sheets)
Tie a sheet on your belt loop,in the zipper pull on your jacket or around your wrist.This has been said it will keep other bugs like bees away from you as well.
I don't plan to put myself in harms way to test this theory, but I am not taking any chances either.
Who knows it just might work.

Our quest for justice
Update Moab, Utah Ramada Inn Motel
April 5,2004
This is an update to the unauthorized charge on our credit card by the motel.
After the Better Business Bureau and the Customer Protection Agency called the Ramada Inn manager, we are at the end of our rope.
It has turned into a he said and she said with us the loosers.
A lot has been learned so listen up.
Fact: You have to file in small Claims Court if this happens to you,in Moab where it happened.
That alone would cost more than $100.00 if you are from out of town.
Fact: Ramada inn takes the word of the manager and not the customer.
Fact; If you are lucky the credit card company MIGHT get your money back.
Fact; If they do you could be sueded in Small Claims yourself and a black mark aganist your credit.
If you are from out of State or from another country you are the biggest target of all.
It is a good income for the motel.

Update to Ramada Inn complaint
I thought more of you had been victimized by the non-smoking trumped up charge.
As of this date we are still fighting with the Ramada Inn Franchise.
The home office is taking the word of the Ramada manager where this happened. Their take on it is that we did in fact smoke in a non-smoking room and that is a valid charge.
I ask you why would anyone smoke in a non-smoking room when there was plenty of each kind of rooms. In a building that holds 100 there may have been 5 cars that stayed there that night.
I have written a complaint letter to all of the Better Business Bureau’s Attorney General, county attorney, and county sheriff department.
So far we are the only ones that are upset with this trumped up charge. In our opinion.

If you want to see a good show about the doo wop music the show for you is the one at the Shara. It is the Platters, Coasters, and the Drifters.
It is well worth the money if you like the 50's tunes.

IF you are going to the skinny tire rally in Moab, Utah be advised.
This could happen to you. We stayed at the Ramada Inn Moab, Utah I used the charge card because of the $100.00 deposit for the use of cash. After we got home and the charge bill came out, we had a $100.00 charge the Ramada Inn Moab had put on our bill.
After a call or two, to the Ramada Inn Moab we learned it was for smoking in a non-smoking room. The big deal about that is - We Do Not Smoke. We are just the average senior citizens visiting the Arches National Park. How to get our money back is yet to be seen.
